  • AeroPress
  • AeroPress Filter
  • Grinder
  • AeroPress Scoop
  • AeroPress Paddle
  • Scale (optional)
  • Timer
  • Water
  • 1 : 15 Coffee to Water Ratio
  • 205° Water Temperature
  • 3 minutes Brew Time
  • Medium-Fine Grind

Coffee Grinding1. Boil and grind

Begin by boiling water and grinding your coffee fine, like table salt.

2. Rinse the filter

Put the paper filter in the cap, rinse with a little hot water, and set aside. 

 

Aeropress Inverted3. Setup the AeroPress

We are using the inverted brewing method. Place the plunger into the Aeropress and setup as pictured.

4. Add coffee
Add 16 grams of ground coffee (approx. 1 Aeropress scoop) into the Aeropress.

Start a timer and pour hot water to fill AeroPress halfway. Stir gently after 30 about seconds. Top up the AeroPress with hot water, and stir again to ensure all the grounds are saturated. Firmly fit the filter cap on top of the Aeropress and continue to let it steep for a total of 3 minutes. 
 
4. Serving and cleanup

After steeping time, carefully flip the Aeropress onto your cup and press down steadily on the plunger using gentle pressure. Dispose of coffee and filter in the compost and rinse the Aeropress clean.
